Hi everyone! My name is Adam and this is my first public blog post. It is very nice to meet you all! I am a bit nervous writing this and massively overthinking at the moment. My goal is to just write what comes to mind , describe how I feel about random everyday experiences in my life, and also how I cope with certain stresses. I believe that everyone struggles from time to time but not many people are open to share this, are maybe ashamed, afraid, or have any other valid reason. I hope that me opening up might help others as well as myself. And don’t worry, it won’t be so serious and deep all the time.

In my first blog post I like to start with something safe and somewhat boring, my May bank holiday. What did I do today so far? I woke up, checked my phone for a bit, made scrambled eggs for breakfast, cycled to the Oxford office, had lunch with some colleagues, and now I am typing this blog post. Wait, you said May bank holiday went to the office and had lunch with colleagues? Yes I did, and I sometimes worry about spending a day in the office on a non-working day but I feel it is okay for the reasons I have today.

Today I wanted to get out of the house and finally start my blog. I had been thinking about this for a while but never the courage to do so. Afraid of being judged, no clear plan or theme, no idea how to start. Going into the office meant for me a change of environment which sometimes helps me get inspiration. And it did. Also I did not want to spend the May bank holiday alone at home as I had no other plans. I actually feel good now about it. I feel I have accomplished something today and also had some fun with my colleagues trying to understand thick Irish accents on YouTube. I recommend this video if you are up for a challenge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VA9vuId3ds

Going to leave it at this for my first post. How was your May bank holiday?

P.S. Any suggestions, comments, critiques or questions welcome in the comments. Hope to improve my blogging over time!
